Dirty Girl Mud Run 2012

Pin It Now!
This past Sunday 4 girls + myself ran in the Dirty Girl Mud Run, a ladies only 5k with 12 obstacles. The cause? National Breast Cancer Foundation. Dirty Girl allows cancer survivors to run for free, which is pretty awesome in itself.

We had a friend design shirts for us especially for the run. The front says See Jane Run, the back says Jane Gets Dirty. Clever gals we are.

I'll let the pictures do the talking because there are plenty! The Mr. tagged along to capture 300 pictures. Don't worry, I'm not posting all of them. I chose some of the very best ones. He was unable to photograph most of the run so the following pictures are pre-race, the beginning of the race, and us at the finish.

We had a blast and can't wait till next year!

 {Our team name was Sole Sisters.}

 {Sisters}

 {Fail}

 {Getting ready to start. The nerves kicked in! We all had the nervous phantom pee sensation.}

 {The muddy water was shockingly cold, as you can see by my expression.}

 {What you can't see is the gravel at the bottom of the water. Ouch!}

 {This was as far as the Mr. was allowed to go. This is how he last saw us, pretty in pink.}

 {Almost an hour later we reappeared looking just a little different. Headed to the last few obstacles of the day.}

 {Pure exhaustion}

 {Last H2OMG pit of the day!}

 {We did it!!!}

 {Dirty Girl sign for medic.}

 {My sweet Mr. What a guy.}

{This was after I rinsed off in the shower fountain.}

Being dirty has never been so fun!

If you live in Wisconsin, join us on team Sole Sisters next year.

If you live in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, or Wisconsin go here to see what city your run is hosted in!

  4. This is so awesome! I love the pics you got. So fun :) So much mud! It looks like a much nicer day for your run than I had. When I ran it was FREEZING. Like, seriously 48 degrees. haha. I love the eye stickers you guy put on. I might just have to drive Texas now for this...
