Friday's Letters

Pin It Now!

{taken in a beautiful courtyard at a wedding this past weekend}

Dear Mr., you get the first letter this week. Just look at you. You're so handsome.  I think we compliment each other perfectly. Dear black and white photographs, sometimes you are my favorite. Like this one. There's nothing quite like a crisp, extra large black and white picture. Dear Sunday, you hold one of the largest physical challenges to date. Enter the Dirty Girl Mud Run. Albeit fun and loaded with laughter {and lots of mud} I am a bit nervous about the intensity of it all. I'll just keep reminding myself it's for a great cause. Then, I'll keep lying to myself and tell myself I have been training for this all summer and definitely not eating treats all.the.time. and pretend that biking 4.9 miles that one night will actually help me run. Dear Bree, are you ready to get dirty? Dear Saturday, I won't let Sunday steal your thunder. You bring lots of excitement to our lives too. A family get together on the lake and then a friend/church get together with 100+ people {so I am told} to watch a huge display of fireworks. I'm pretty excited to make rice krispie treats for both outings. Snap. Crackle. Pop. Dear Mom, thanks for taking this photo of the Mr. and I. Even though it took about 11 takes to get a decent one because we were all laughing so hard! Dear God, I always, always save the last letter for you. It's the most important one after all. This week we have been bombarded with blessings. You never cease to amaze me with your goodness. Let's reminisce. We received 4 pints of strawberries, 3 Comedy Sports tickets {good, clean fun}, $175 in unexpected monetary gifts, dinner at a friend's house, 3 ears of corn, lip gloss and nail polish, lunch from a friend, a book, and an ice cream cone from DQ. It feels good to brag on how awesome You are. You lead people to bless us in sometimes large and sometimes small ways; a blessing none the less. I make sure to jot down all {every single one} of these blessings to keep a thankful heart and remember all good and perfect gifts come from You. Thanks Lord. Now go bless those who have so richly blessed us this week.

P.S. Remember to check out the giveaway and enter!
