Success!

Pin It Now!

Guys, I wish you could have seen the Mr.'s face when he discovered our Tuesday night plans included a surprise date night.

Here's how it went down.

I had him read this post. I wanted him to hear my heart.

His reaction was priceless. As soon as he finished reading it {and all your beautiful comments} he said, "Alright, so where are we going?". Insert giggle. See, I wasn't about to give him the whole run down of the evenings agenda. This was a SURPRISE! after all.

After we finished getting ready we hopped in the car. Except, I made the Mr. ride in the passenger seat and I got to be the chauffeur. The fun of it all was him not having a clue where we were headed each time we got in the car.

First stop, grab a bite to eat. I drove us to a restaurant in town for one of our favorite appetizers, nachos. One order of these nachos stuff us both to the brim. Blue, red, and white tortilla chips, shredded cheese, nacho cheese, taco meat, olives, black beans, pico de gallo, green onions, sour cream, and guacamole. They should call it '3lb nachos' on the menu. So good. I can't believe I forgot to snap a picture.

Second stop, Target. Target? Yup. We headed straight for the candy aisle for Dots {the Mr.'s favorite candy}, Reese's Pieces, and sour gummy worms. He knew right then and there where we were ultimately headed.

Third stop, movie theater. As we pulled up he was reading the titles of the each movie. After he read them all he still had no clue which movie we were seeing. I told the ticket box office we would like 2 for Here Comes the Boom. "What's that?", he asked loudly in front of the woman selling us our tickets. I of course just smiled. We got to the theater to find it empty. My first thought, Oh good, just the two of us. The Mr.'s first thought, Oh good, we can make out. {There go those two polar opposite worlds again.}

 Here we are, the lone Tuesday night movie theater goers. Turns out a few more people joined us before the movie started.

The night was perfection. He thanked me a dozen times, each one just as genuine as the last. We had such a great time just being together.

And, if you're looking for a great movie to see, please go see Here Comes the Boom. It will not disappoint!
